Have you ever thought how much sleep the world’s biggest leaders in tech companies get each day? While some of us only get around five-six hours of sleep because of our hectic schedules, how about people like Mark Zuckerberg? Do they even sleep given all the heavy work load and pressure they get from running several multi-billion businesses?
It is recommended that adults must have 7 to 9 hours of sleep everyday. Getting enough sleep allows one to function at their best. Do tech entrepreneurs like Zuckerberg and Musk even have time for that? If one is running a business that requires answering over 500 emails, travel a lot and attend countless meetings, should one sacrifice sleep to succeed?

Marissa Mayer, the CEO of Yahoo! likes to have a 130-hour work week so she only gets four hours of sleep every night. Once, she worked for 20 hours straight and needed an overdue nap, which led her to missing an important dinner with chief executives.

Elon Musk, the founder, CEO and CTO of SpaceX, always aims to get around 6 hours of sleep every night.
Jack Dorsey, the Twitter CEO shared that in his morning routine, he’s “”up at 5, meditate for 30, 7 minute workout times 3, make coffee, check in. I sleep from 11-5a usually. Blackout shades help. Meditation and exercise!”
