If we could have it our way, we’ll turn on the air conditioner all the time. When the weather is too humid or too hot, we just want to hide in our air-conditioned rooms and stay there for as long as we want. It’s understandable given that we can be more productive when we’re comfortable in a cool place especially on long hot summer days. However, there’s one thing that stops us from doing so – the expensive electric bills that we have to pay at the end of the month.

So, how do we save money from using the air conditioner? Here are tips that will lessen your energy consumption and help you save your money without really compromising your comfort on your own homes.

Open the window every now and then.

Instead of cooling the entire house using the AC, how about opening the windows in other areas. That will certainly help you save.

Turning off the air when it’s not need decreases the amount of heat in a room. You don’t need to let your AC unit be on full blast mode when it’s dark.
